Give the gift of an experience based on their favorite activities. Maybe you’ll even be able to enjoy it with them and if nothing else, you’ll know you’re at least not cluttering up their space with yet another tangible gift.

There was a very simple rule I learned from my uncle along the way. Whenever he brings one new non-essential item into his home he gets rid of two non-essential items.

Just because you put something on the calendar, doesn’t mean you have to do it right then. The same goes for a to-do on the task manager. You don’t actually have to do the task.

My best advice is to donate somewhere that makes YOU feel good about your donation but is also convenient to you. What’s the point of decluttering your rooms if you’re going to clutter another space by not taking your donations right away?
